BREAKING: Attempted murder arrest as alleyway taped off after stabbing - latest updates
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a stabbing in Trafford.
Emergency services were called to Kingsway Park in Urmston at around 5.20pm yesterday (Monday) to reports of a man being stabbed. He was rushed to hospital from the scene.
He remains there in a critical but stable condition. A 42-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

He is being quizzed by detectives in custody. Any witnesses are being urged to come forward.
This morning, a cordon remains in place on an alleyway between Kingsway Park and Skye Road. Police are stationed on the scene.
In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "Officers received a call from colleagues at NWAS at 5.18pm on Monday 19 June 2023, to reports a man who had sustained stab wounds. He was taken to hospital for surgery and his condition is described as critical but stable.
"A 42 year old man was detained a short time later and is currently in custody for questioning on suspicion of attempted murder. Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which took place in an alleyway that runs along Kingsway Park in Davyhulme, Trafford.
