Bradley & Murphy Soccer Writers Ireland Personality of Year awards

Bradley, who led Shamrock Rovers to their second consecutive Premier Division last season, said: "I think it’s just a reflection of what the team has done to be honest.

"The staff, the players have performed and won the league and I think that’s what got me recognised.

"For me, it’s brilliant when you look at the names on the trophy. It is an honour to win it. It’s more a reflection of what the team has achieved and, thankfully, I get named for the award as a personal accolade but I think it’s more down to the team."

Wexford Youths captain Murphy is the inaugural winner of the women's award. She had a brilliant campaign as her switch from midfield to centre-forward paid of spectacularly. The 33-year-old scored 15 league goals ad was on target in November’s FAI Women’s Cup final to help Youths beat Shelbourne at Tallaght Stadium.

"I’m genuinely blown away," she said. "First and foremost, I’m delighted that a women’s award has been created.

"That’s the big highlight but to be the first name on it is pretty huge."

Vitezslav Jaros was name Goalkeeper of the Year. The Czech stopper tasted FAI Cup glory during a successful spell at St Patrick's Athletic, on loan from Liverpool.

"I’m over the moon," said the 20-year-old. "I wasn’t expecting it, so to get the trophy for Goalkeeper of the Year is brilliant on top of the FAI Cup final and everything that happened last year."
