Bosch earns Proteas ODI call-up as Baartman is ruled out of Wanderers clash

Titans seamer Corbin Bosch has received a maiden call-up to the Proteas' ODI squad ahead of Sunday's final match of the series against Pakistan at the Wanderers.

Bosch, 30, comes in for Dolphins fast bowler Ottneil Baartman, who has been ruled out due to a right knee injury.

Baartman, 31, experienced discomfort during his run up while bowling ahead of the second ODI in Cape Town on Thursday. In a statement released on Friday, Cricket South Africa said Baartman would return home and undergo further assessments.

Meanwhile, Bosch's inclusion follows his maiden call-up to the Test side earlier this week.

Bosch, who has been rewarded for stellar performances on the domestic front, is the son of the late Tertius Bosch, who played in South Africa's first post-isolation Test against the West Indies in 1992. It was the former fast bowler's only Test and he took three wickets, including the prized wicket of a young 23-year-old Brian Lara. Tertius, who also played two ODIs in 1992, died in in 2000 at the age of 33.

Play at the Wanders starts at 14:00 on Sunday, with Pakistan having an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.
