Borussia Dortmund 'not interested' in Jadon Sancho and more Manchester United transfer rumours

Borussia Dortmund are 'not interested' in re-signing Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho ahead of the January transfer window.

That is according to a report by German news outlet Bild, as cited by Football365, which claims that the Bundesliga outfit are not planning to make an attempt to sign him for a second time in the New Year, and that Barcelona is a 'more likely' destination. The winger is facing the likelihood of being shown the exit door in the coming months after hitting out at Erik ten Hag in a social media post.

Sancho, who joined United from Dortmund in July 2021, accused the Dutchman of lying in the aftermath of the Reds' 3-1 defeat to Arsenal earlier this month. The winger was left out of the matchday squad after Ten Hag was unimpressed by his performance levels in training.

United have since banished Sancho from first-team training until further notice, meaning it remains to be seen if he will play for the club again. He featured in each of United's opening three Premier League games this term, appearing as a substitute in each of them.

However, it does, of course, remain to be seen if he will play for the Reds again. Ten Hag refused to address the England international by name when he was quizzed on the whole situation ahead of last weekend's 3-1 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion at Old Trafford.

Sancho has struggled to live up to expectations since joining the Reds, scoring 12 goals and grabbing just six assists in 82 matches. He scored seven times in total last season, finding the net either side of his extended period out of the team.
