Boost for Ruben Amorim and Ruud van Nistelrooy class - what we saw at Manchester United training

Manchester United were handed a major boost on Wednesday with Leny Yoro training with the first-team squad for the first time since he underwent surgery on a foot injury sustained in pre-season in July.

Yoro was one of three players returning to the fold ahead of the fixture against PAOK. Christian Eriksen and Antony are also back in training with Ruud van Nistelrooy's squad.

United are still looking for their first win in the Europa League, having drawn all three games against FC Twente, Porto, and Fenerbahce. They now have two home fixtures in a row, against the Greek outfit and then Bodo/Glimt.

United have had to be patient with £52million signing Leny Yoro, with the centre-back needing surgery on a foot injury he picked up in his second pre-season appearance.

This was his first time back in full training, and he was given the familiar welcome back to the fold, having to run through a tunnel created by his teammates as they tried to slap him on the back.

There were loud cheers as Yoro ran the gauntlet before he settled back into the routine with a rondo. The teenager is unlikely to feature under Van Nistelrooy this week, but his return is a boost for Amorim, especially if he decides to stick with his back-three system. Yoro will likely become a regular starter if that is the case.
