Boost for Bulls and Springboks as Kurt-Lee Arendse fit for URC final

Kurt-Lee Arendse has been passed fit for the Vodacom Bulls' United Rugby Championship final against the Glasgow Warriors on Saturday (live on RTÉ News Channel), in a major boost to the Pretoria side, as well as South Africa head coach Rassie Erasmus.

The wing, who has scored ten tries in 12 games this season for the Bulls, missed last week's BKT URC semi-final win against Leinster with a fractured cheekbone suffered in the quarter-final victory over Benetton.

There were initial fears that the World Cup winner could miss out on next month's Test series between the Springboks and Ireland, but he's been cleared to start tomorrow's final at Loftus Versfeld against the Warriors after it was confirmed he did not need surgery.

His return couldn't come at a better time for Jake White's side, with full-back Willie le Roux ruled out due to a neck/head injury suffered in the second half of last week's win against Leinster.

Arendse swaps in for Le Roux as the only change to the Bulls' matchday squad, taking his place on the left wing, with Devon Williams moving across to full-back.

Meanwhile, Glasgow head coach Franco Smith has named an unchanged team from last week's win against Munster at Thomond Park.

Kyle Steyn, who scored one of their two tries in the 17-10 victory, captains the side, as the Warriors look to win their first title since 2015.

While the first XV is unchanged, there are two additions to the bench, with Nathan McBeth replacing Murphy Walker in the front row replacements, and veteran Duncan Weir coming in for Ross Thompson.

Bulls: Devon Williams; Sergeal Peterson, David Kriel, Harold Vorster, Kurt-Lee Arendse; Johan Goosen, Embrose Papier; Gerhard Steenkamp, Johan Grobbelaar, Wilco Louw; Ruan Vermaak, Ruan Nortje (capt);
