Boniface: Super Eagles are determined to beat Lesotho

Bayer Leverkusen attacker, Victor Boniface, has said that he and his Super Eagles teammates are determined to beat Lesotho in their opening 2026 World Cup qualifier on Thursday.

Boniface made this remarks during a chat with the Super Eagles media officer, Babafemi Raji after Wednesday’s training at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, Akwa-Ibom state.

On another World Cup qualification series which starts on Thursday, Raji asked Boniface how ready he was for the clash with the Crocodiles of Lesotho.

“I am ready and focused, we are also determined to secure victory against Lesotho and when the game finally starts, we will see what happens,” the striker said.

Raji further asked Boniface how the two key training sessions that the Super Eagles had on Tuesday and Wednesday went.

“Of course, the two training sessions we had were really good, it has been within a short time but we have trained really well and every player is focused on the game.”

Raji asked Boniface what Nigerians should expect from him against Lesotho if he starts in place of the injured Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen.

That is especially with his great form at Leverkusen where he has been lighting up the Bundesliga by coming up with a plethora of goals and assists.

“I will try to do my best and give a hundred percent against Lesotho on Thursday. And for sure, we will all try to win the game which is the most important thing,” the 22-year-old said.
