Bolton Wanderers vs Accrington Stanley LIVE: Early team news, build-up, match updates & reaction

Bolton Wanderers play the second half of their Easter bank holiday weekend fixtures this afternoon when they take on Accrington Stanley.

Wanderers return to the University of Bolton Stadium to play their penultimate home game of the campaign against Stanley.

The Whites won thier Good Friday clash on the road to Doncaster Rovers 2-1 thanks to goals from Amadou Bakayoko and Kieran Sadlier.

And Ian Evatt's side will be seeking another three points today to keep up their aim of finishing this season in the top 10 and continue to build some momentum for the 2022/23 campaign.

When these two sides met the Wham Stadium back in mid-December, Tommy Leigh's goal ensured three points for John Coleman's side, right before Wanderers were hit by a Covid-19 outbreak which forced them to have a break of three weeks without a game.

Wanderers sit 11th before kick-off and could creep back into the top 10 with three points this afternoon, while Stanley are 14th and have once again the prospect of a midtable finish in the third tier of English football as Coleman's side continue to impress in the divison.

We'll be live throughout the day to cover events at the University of Bolton Stadium, with all the build-up, team news, match updates and reaction from an Easter Monday clash.
