Bolton Wanderers player ratings vs Oxford United - Santos, Bakayoko and Fossey good

James Trafford - 6.5

Cannot really be faulted with either goal the U's scored in first half as both Billy Bodin strikes were high quality. Generally dealt with whatever Oxford put at him but had a few nervous moments towards the end.

Gethin Jones - 7.5

Solid in the back three defensively and contributed to attacks where possible, most important of which was the ball to find Fossey which led to late goal.

Ricardo Almeida Santos - 8

Rarely beaten in the middle of Wanderers back three and was usually in the right place to snuff out danger from a quality Oxford attack.

George Johnston - 6.5

Returned to team after missing Charlton Athletic win with an illness. Gave away free-kick which led to opener after losing possession on halfway line. Struggled defensively first half but better after break and certainly willing to get forward.

Marlon Fossey - 8

Struggled to have much joy early on but grew into game down the right flank and produced sublime finish for first Bolton goal before half-time. Teasing cross for late goal.

Aaron Morley- 6

Teed up John for early strike and cross led to Fossey's goal. Passing game was on and off during the clash and struggled to make significant impact on encounter and was taken off after 65 minutes for Afolayan.

MJ Williams - 6

Beaten for the second goal by Bodin's trickery on the edge of the box. Had an alright game in the middle of the park but struggled to deal with fast paced game.

Kieran Lee - 5

Restored to starting XI after being an usused substitute in midweek but came off after only 20 minutes having made a limited impact.

Declan John - 7

Got Wanderers back on level terms with great strike from outside the box and was a threat down the left flank at times, but defensive frailties exposed
