Bolton Wanderers fixture release LIVE: 2022/23 League One schedule and key dates

Bolton Wanderers will learn their 2022/23 League One fixture schedule this morning.

The Whites are currently out in Portugal on a pre-season training camp where they will discover who their opening day opponents will be and the 45 matches after that. Wanderers are poised to return back to the UK over the weekend ahead of their first pre-season friendly against Longridge Town.

Wanderers finished last season ninth in League One, a good achievement for a newly promoted side to the division. But this campaign, Wanderers have their sights firmly set on a promotion challenge and are seeking to return to the Championship for the first time since 2019.

And it's not only the League One fixtures Wanderers will discover today. The draws for the group stage of the Papa John's trophy and the first round of the Carabao Cup are also due to take place today, with Wanderers are in the hat for both and we'll bring those to you later on.

But for now, Wanderers' full fixture list will appear below and we'll unpick the key runs over the course of the campaign, right here.

The EFL will release the new fixtures at 9am on the dot and we'll have details of all the games Wanderers will face then.

Wanderers have been drawn in the Northern section of the draw in group B and will face Crewe Alexandra and Tranmere Rovers, for sure, in the group stage of the Papa John's Trophy.

A total of eight Premier League academies have been invited to take part in the draw and complete the group stage.

Wanderers will play one of Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Leicester City, Leeds United, Everton, Newcastle United or Wolves in the group stage, with the draw to take place later on today and we'll bring that to you live as well.
