Bolton defender on Liverpool loanee's future & how Everton past has shaped Wanderers leadership
Gethin Jones believes his time in Everton's youth teams have helped to equip him with the leadership skills is he is now displaying at Bolton Wanderers and feels Liverpool loanee Conor Bradley is settling in well at the club.
Jones is Wanderers' vice-captain and has been at the club since the summer of 2020. Along with skipper Ricardo Santos, he is one of the longest serving players at the club under Ian Evatt.
The defender came through the youth team ranks at Premier League side Everton, having joined the club at the age of 12. He played once for the Toffees' first team and came through the youth teams at Goodison Park.

Jones believes his time at Everton are experiences he has taken with him throughout his career, as well as the experiences he has had at following clubs. He feels his leadership qualities are something he has displayed at Wanderers even before he was handed the vice-captaincy.
He said: "When I was in the Under-18s and the reserves, I was captain for those sides. I have been captain when I was playing for the 17s, 19s, 21s and stuff. It is one that I have always taken pride in - I like to give advice on the pitch and help other players out, not just concentrate on myself.
"I like to communicate on the pitch about how we can do better as a team. It is one thing I have taken with me through the years really. I have had some bad experiences at clubs, some good experiences at other clubs as well. I just take it all in on how I want to achieve more with this club really.
"Even when I wasn’t vice-captain, I felt like I was still communicating quite a bit on the pitch. But when you get given that role,
