Bolt, Neville, Carragher: Soccer Aid 2022 line-up revealed

The world’s biggest celebrity football match will return this summer as Soccer Aid for UNICEF heads for the London Stadium.

A number of ex-professional footballers, A-List celebrities, and other household names will take to the pitch to show off their abilities on the ball and most importantly, raise money for some of the world’s most disadvantaged children.

Actors Lucien Laviscount and Joe Cole — of Emily in Paris and Peaky Blinders respectively — will join the squad, as well as musician Tom Grennan, presenter and social media creator Chunkz, and comedian Alex Brooker, who will be the first ever physically disabled participant.

England will be spearheaded by manager Harry Redknapp, and David Seaman will be the goalkeeper coach.

The home side will face Arsène Wenger’s World XI, captained by returning skipper Usain Bolt. The eight-time Olympic gold medallist led his side to victory in 2021 and will be looking to edge the team ahead in terms of overall wins.

As it stands, England and the World XI are tied on five wins a-piece, meaning this year’s match will see one team
