Bodo/Glimt in crisis as Celtic Europa Conference League opponents problems laid bare in brutal captain assessment

Bodo/Glmit captain Ulrik Saltnes admits the club are struggling to pull themselves together ahead of the clash with Celtic.

The Norwegian side travel to Glasgow next week for the first leg of their Europa Conference League last-32 tie with the Hoops before the return leg in Bodo a week later.

It follows a massive squad overhaul following the end of the campaign for the Norwegian champions.

Star men including Fredrik Andre Bjorkan, Patrick Berg and Marius Lode have all left the Arctic Circle side leaving boss Kjetil Knutsen without the spine of his team.

They beat Elfsborg 3-2 on Thursday in their final pre-season fixture, but only after throwing away a two-goal lead in the second half as they ramp up their preparation for Ange Postecoglou 's side.

But ahead of the first leg, Saltnes confesses the club are going through a massive transition period ahead of the clash with the Premiership leaders.

Speaking to the club website, the brutally honest skipper said on the win over the Swedish side: "We rotated a lot (of players) in the transfer window and struggled in quite a few phases of the game.

"We lose too many duels. We did not get control of the match.

"It was good sometimes, we just have to get it out more often.

"It has been a bit messy (pre-season) and there has been a lot (of players) in and out.
