Itttttttt’s tiiiiiiiiimmmmmme! I'm really excited for this one. France is the host nation, they have coaches who've had the pain of losing World Cup finals, and finally they have the players as a group who have the potential to win this competition. From their dominating opening game performance against the All Blacks, they've shown that they're ready to rise to the occasion, and you could argue that their stars are aligned this time. Yes, for the Boks this is a scary proposition to deal with but they've beaten a host nation in the quarters (Japan) last time around, so it'll be a case of getting their processes right. Knowing how the Boks prepare, you can bet they'll get it right.

2) Many Bok fans preferred France (without Romain Ntamack and Antoine Dupont) as quarterfinal opponents instead of a fired-up All Black side. Now that Dupont has made a dramatic comeback and is set to play, would this still have been the preferred option? The bookies have France as slight favourites we'd probably have been slight favourites over the All Blacks.

Remember, the Boks were very unlucky to lose to France at home in November last year. Some lessons learnt from that game would be to not turn over ball in the opposition’s half and to not concede penalties in our own half because France have a strong long-kicking game, as well as the ability to transition into attack at pace.
