Bob MacIntyre leaves Sky commentators giggling over X-rated outbursts at the Scandiavian Masters

Sky commentators were trying their best not to laugh after Scottish golfer Robert MacIntyre let out a stream of expletives when a poor shot left him in the lurch at the Scandinavian Masters.

The Oban-born star took to Stockholm this week in a bid to follow up on his win at the Italian Open last September, though he found himself floundering in the Swedish capital after a torrid start to proceedings.

Facing an approach from just 100 yards from the hole, MacIntyre clipped a shot which evaded the bunker, but backspin left his shot way towards the back of the green - not an ideal shot by anybody's standards, let alone his own. And the Scot let his feelings known to viewers around the world by venturing on a mischievous tirade of expletives, leaving Sky's commentary team amused by his reaction.

McIntyre said, whilst his shot was still airborne: "That's f*****g dreadful again." Sky's team went to apologise, thinking it would be his only outburst, stating: "Well apologies, for the language!" But it didn't stop there, with MacIntyre asking himself: "What the f**k is that?"

Apologising once more, Sky's team said: "And again, from Robert MacIntyre." Before MacIntyre scored a hat-trick of swearing outbursts with: "So f*****g bad!" Seeing the funny side, the broadcasters said: "And again!", with a muffled chuckle.

MacIntyre finished the course on a +3 par, failing to score below par on the final 12 holes as he currently sits at joint-111th in the standings – and way off the pacesetters. Over the pond, Rory McIlroy and Co are playing in the PGA Tour event, the Canadian Open ahead of next week’s US Open.
