Blitzboks crush Scotland to cruise into Commonwealth Games quarterfinals
The Blitzboks finished their pool stage participation in the Men's Sevens Rugby section at the Commonwealth Games on a high note by crushing Scotland 34-0 at the Coventry Stadium on Saturday.
The sevens side had a slowish start to the game, but once the whitewash was crossed by JC Pretorius and Selwyn Davids, the dam wall was being dismembered bit by bit.
South Africa then employed a smart kicking game that allowed Angelo Davids to score a second-half hattrick as Scotland had no answer to South Africa's trickery.

The win was completed by Shaun Williams's last try as the Blitzboks completed a clean sweep of their pool after seeing Malaysia and Tonga.
However, Blitzboks coach Neil Powell may have had a slight concern when captain Siviwe Soyizwapi came off with an injury.
The Blitzboks have already lost a player, with Mfundo Ndhlovu sustaining a serious injury in the game against Tonga.
