Blackpool release new home shirt for 2022/23 Championship season & when fans can buy it

Blackpool have released the club's new home shirt for the upcoming 2022/23 season and confirmed when fans will be able to get their hands upon it.

The Seasiders are busy preparing for their second season in succession back in the Championship. It will be the first season back at Blackpool for new boss Michael Appleton after he returned for a second spell in charge this summer.

The Bloomfield Road side have now released a fresh kit for the upcoming campaign. The players will be donning it for the first time this evening in the pre-season friendly versus Leeds United.

The familiar orange shirt is produced by Puma. It sports the Utilita logo on the front as the main shirt sponsor and there is white trim on the sleeves and collar.

Describing the new shirt, a statement on the club website read: "Modelled on a retro design from the 1980’s, the new kit has been brought into the modern day by PUMA with their Re-Tex Fabric material. The shirt features a ribbed collar and cuffs, and the iconic 1989 pattern with a modern design twist and premium technology for elite performance."

Fans will be able to buy the new kit from 10am on Friday, July 8. Junior shirts will cost £35, while adult ones are £50.
