Binge-worthy new Netflix series renewed for second season after just two weeks

A brand new Netflix series viewers 'can't stop watching' has been renewed for a second season. My Life With The Walter Boys debuted on the streamer on December 7 and has today (Wednesday, December 20) been confirmed for another instalment.

Based on a Wattpad story of the same title written by then-15-year-old Ali Novak, it stars Nikki Rodriguez as Jackie Howard, a teenage girl whose life is turned upside down after her parents and sister die in a car accident. She moves across the country from vibrant New York to scenic Colorado, to live with her mother's best friend Katherine, her husband George and their ten sons.

As she settles into her new life and gets to know the boys, a messy love triangle emerges while the pressures of high school drama and old flames mount. The show has been likened to the Amazon Prime Video hit series The Summer I Turned Pretty.

Confirming the show's renewal, Netflix shared a video on X, formerly Twitter, of Nikki, Noah LaLonde - who plays love interest Cole in the series - and Ashley Gentry - who plays Cole's brother and Jackie's other love interest. The group takes a phone call from a Netflix high-up who tells them the happy news, as the actors celebrate.

Netflix captioned the post: "MY LIFE WITH THE WALTER BOYS SEASON 2 IS COMING! Watch the cast find out," with a pleading-face emoji.

The coming-of-age series is currently sat at number two on Netflix UK's top 10 TV shows charts, behind The Crown. Critics on Rotten Tomatoes might have slapped the series with a dismal 38% rating, but viewers seemingly
