'Big', 'No brainer' - TalkSPORT man reacts to 'great news for Celtic' involving 'perfect' player

Former Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed neither Jota nor Cameron Carter-Vickers would ditch the ‘perfect fit’ at Celtic for a Premier League club after some Champions League news broke during the week.  

Signed until the end of the 2021/22 season from Benfica and Tottenham Hotspur respectively, Jota and Carter-Vickers have both been superb for the Hoops as Ange Postecoglou’s side head towards regaining the Scottish Premiership title.

The Portuguese forward has directly contributed to 24 goals across all competitions whilst powerful USA international defender Carter-Vickers has played a hand in 16 clean sheets in 30 league outings.

ESPN editor Dale Johnson shared news this week that the winner of the Scottish Premiership will go direct into the group stage of the Champions League.

Speaking to Football Insider about that update, talkSPORT pundit Agbonlahor has claimed that very few Premier League outfits with European football to offer would consider the duo, calling the update a ‘big thing’ and ‘great news’.

“Oh, Champions League football makes you very attractive. You get the money in and you know you’re going to attract better players. It’s great news for Celtic.
