‘Big futures’ - Aston Villa fans ‘excited’ over players who could save Steven Gerrard millions

It was a good night for Aston Villa loan players as they had an impact for their teams in the Football League on Tuesday night, under the watchful eyes of Villa supporters.

With the first team not in midweek action, it gave fans the chance to follow some of the club’s youngsters as they build their experience of first-team football.

Strikers Louie Barry, Cameron Archer and Keinan Davis were all in action on Tuesday night as well as full-back Kaine Kesler.

After an unsuccessful loan spell with Ipswich earlier this season, Barry has found his goalscoring form during a temporary deal with Swindon Town.

The striker scored his second and third goals in just two games in the 5-0 win over Walsall, much to the delight of onlooking Villa fans.

But it wasn’t just Barry’s performance that caught the eye with Kesler also getting on the scoresheet for MK Dons in their 2-0 win over Charlton.

That, along with the form and performances of both Archer and Davis has got Villa fans excited for what the future may hold.

Should they complete their journey into the Villa first team, it could help save millions in transfer fees in the upcoming transfer window.
