Big E provides positive update after suffering broken neck on WWE SmackDown

Big E has provided what can, all things considered, be deemed a rather positive update on his broken neck.

On last night’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Big E broke his neck after landing directly on his head following a suplex from Ridge Holland on the outside of the ring.

The spot was incredibly scary, with fans in the arena and on social media incredibly worried after Big E was stretched to the back.

Soon after, the WWE Superstar took to Twitter to inform fans that he had unfortunately broken his neck, with the following video update.

However, in what has to be described as positive news at this stage, Big E has posted another video updating fans on his status.

E said that, while his C1 and C6 are fractured, he suffered no damage to his spinal cord and the ligaments around his neck.

The former WWE Champion also said that he doesn’t require surgery, which is certainly tremendous news considering how horrific of an injury a broken neck can be.

So I got some really good news, all things considered. The C1 and C6 are indeed fractured, no displacement though, which is a very good thing. I don’t have any damage to my spinal cord, no ligament damage and no surgery, which I’m very thankful for.

Of course, the road to recovery for Big E will be still long, as a broken neck is no joke, but the injury doesn’t seem as bad as it could have been, all things considered.

It’s also worth pointing out that again, all things considered, Big E seemed to be in relatively high spirits considering all he’s gone through since last night, which is a credit to his tremendous attitude.
