Big blow: Journalist now claims player 'might be a bit too rich' for Celtic

Celtic target and Argentinos Juniors midfielder Fausto Vera may prove to be out of the Glasgow club’s price range this summer.

That is according to journalist Pete O’Rourke, who has been speaking to This is Futbol about Celtic’s transfer business this window.

Ange Postecoglou’s side had been linked with a move for Vera earlier this month, with the midfielder being thought of as an alternative to Vinicius Souza, who had also been reported to be mooting a move to Celtic Park, before making the move to Espanyol instead.

The Glasgow giants are looking for midfield reinforcements this summer after Nir Bitton and Tom Rogic departed the club at the end of last season, with the club lacking in that department as it stands.

It might be best for Celtic to work out how likely it is that a deal can be completed early enough so they can move on to other targets if
