The Rams own a plus-43 first-quarter scoring margin, having scored first in six of their wins. Matthew Stafford's under-center and play-action efficiency hits Tampa Bay's exact defensive weakness, especially with CB Jamel Dean banged up. The Bucs are a bottom-tier first-quarter team with a negative-25 margin, slow offensive starts that Todd Bowles never fixes early. The Rams consistently come out with speed, formation variation and early shot plays, while the Bucs absorb pressure and settle late. Everything favors Los Angeles jumping ahead quickly.
