Better than Podence: Lage must unleash £11.7m-rated WWFC gem, he could clinch Europe - opinion

Wolverhampton Wanderers host their Midlands rivals Leicester City on Sunday afternoon as they look to strengthen their grip on European qualification with Bruno Lage’s side sat in seventh, two points off of the top six.

However, the £11.7m-rated forward failed to score in the eight league games prior to suffering the hamstring injury that kept him out for a month.

Having made the bench against Arsenal and a nine-minute cameo against Tottenham, Hwang is certainly back in contention and, with Jimenez currently the only Wolves forward scoring goals, it could be worth Lage handing the 26-year-old his first start in over two months.

None of Fabio Silva, Daniel Podence or Francisco Trincao have scored in the Premier League yet this season for the West Midlands outfit, particularly highlighting how impressive Hwang’s start to life in the English top-flight was.
