Beth Mead, Millie Bright: Euro 2022 heroes honoured by Arsenal and Chelsea

Arsenal and Chelsea’s Euro 2022 heroes were honoured by the clubs during their respective Premier League matches.

The entire Arsenal Women squad was invited to the Emirates as the men’s team defeated Fulham 2-1.

The players did a half-time lap of appreciation, led by Euro 2022 winners Leah Williamson, Beth Mead and Lotte Wubben-Moy, and Copa América winner Rafaelle Souza.

Mead, who finished Euro 2022 with the Golden Boot, was also awarded her player of the season trophy for the 2021/22 campaign.

Arsenal Women will return to the Emirates for the North London Derby, hosting Tottenham Hotspur in the Women’s Super League on September 24th.

Chelsea also welcomed its Euro 2022 heroes to Stamford Bridge, with Beth England, Millie Bright and Fran Kirby in attendance.

The trio were pictured on the pitch with their gold medals around their necks, before going up into the stands to watch Chelsea beat Leicester City 2-1.
