Bet365 Gold Cup runner guide, odds and tip as Christian Williams targets another big win

Christian Williams could be the toast of punters once again this weekend in the Bet365 Gold Cup.

The Welsh trainer's squad is led by his brilliant Scottish Grand National heroine Win My Wings who must defy a stone rise in the weights for her runaway Ayr success. The Glamorgan-based handler is also represented by last season's Sandown runner-up Kitty's Light and Cap Du Nord, who took a Grade 3 handicap chase at Kempton earlier in the year.

The first three home from the 2021 edition all line up once again, including Enrilo who crossed the line first that day but was dramatically demoted to third after a lengthy stewards' inquiry. The race was awarded to runner-up Potterman who provided Alan King with a second successive victory after Talkischeap scored by an emphatic ten lengths in 2019 (no race in 2020).

Enrilo heads Betfred 's market for the 3m 5f contest at 7-2, with Kitty's Light and Win My Wings next in at 4-1 and 5-1 respectively.

- Prefers a sound surface so can be forgiven pulled up effort on soft in the Midlands National at Uttoxeter when last seen. Looked a staying chaser on the up prior to that. With no stamina worries and conditions to suit, could easily go well.

- Over a year since he last got his head in
