Best College GameDay signs from Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Texas Longhorns

Week 2 in college football is here. After Week 1's slate of big-name matchups, this week features only three games between ranked opponents.

The No. 24 Tennessee Volunteers face the No. 17 Pittsburgh Panthers (3:30 p.m. ET, ABC). This marks the 58th time an SEC team is facing an ACC team in a ranked regular season matchup. According to ESPN Stats and Information research, the SEC is 20-10 in the last 30 such meetings.

The other two ranked matchups are the No. 20 Kentucky Wildcats traveling to face the No. 12 Florida Gators (7 p.m. ET, ESPN). The Gators jumped from unranked to that spot after their Week 1 upset of then-No. 7 Utah. The Baylor Bears, No. 9, face the No. 21 BYU Cougars (10:15 p.m. ET, ESPN).

As far as brand-name matchups, it doesn't get much bigger than the Texas Longhorns and Alabama Crimson Tide. Bama will be in Austin, facing Texas for the first time since the 2009 BCS title game. The two have not met in the regular season since 1922. While Texas is 7-1-1 all-time against Alabama, the Horns are a decided underdog Saturday. According to Caesars Sportsbook, Texas is a 20-point underdog. According to ESPN Stats and Information research, the Longhorns are facing the longest odds to win at home since the 1978 FBS/FCS split.
