Bernardo Silva 'doesn't know' if he will leave Man City this summer but rules out one club

Bernardo Silva brushed off questions over his Manchester City future this summer as he continues to be linked with a transfer away.

The Portuguese helped City win the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup, but may have played his last game for the club in Istanbul as City beat Inter Milan to win the European Cup. For the last two summers Bernardo has asked to leave City to move closer to home, but no side has met City's asking price so he has remained.

While Bernardo has always committed to giving 100 per cent for City during the season, he looks set to spend another summer seeking to leave, and he admitted this week that he simply doesn't know where he will play next season.

Speaking on international duty, Bernardo refused to speak in depth about the situation but did say that he simply doesn't know what will happen over the summer.

"I don't run away from questions. The truth is that this is not the space to talk about it, but I still don't know my future," he said, via Noticias Ao Minuto.

"I'm being honest. I don't know, we'll see in the near future. And even if I did, it wouldn't be space to talk about it. The reality is that I don't know.

"I can only speak for myself. It doesn't affect me, because I've been in this situation for almost three years now! I'm already quite used to it, so I'm focused and it's an immense pride to represent our country."

One update Bernardo did give, however, was on a potential return to boyhood club Benfica, having previously admitted to wanting to return to the club before the end of his career.
