Benjamin Sesko and more transfers Man United tipped to complete this summer

Ruben Amorim will be desperate for a better season this time around as Manchester United look to bounce back from one of their worst top-flight performances for over 50 years. The focus at Old Trafford has been on solid recruitment after their signings in recent years failed to live up to expectations.

Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo are the two newest faces through the door at the Theatre of Dreams and more are anticipated with Amorim keen on strengthening his side. Outgoings are also expected with the likes of Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Jadon Sancho attracting interest.

Marcus Rashford is among the high-profile departures this summer after he joined Barcelona on a season-long loan but United may be forced to offload more players in order to land reinforcements for the forthcoming season.

The MEN reported this week that United are advancing with a move for RB Leipzig star Benjamin Sesko.

United have been looking to sign an out-and-out striker throughout the summer and were handed the bitter pill of rejection when Liam Delap opted for a move to Chelsea.

Amorim's side and recruitment chiefs at Old Trafford have received encouragement over the pursuit of Sesko.

However, they may not have a clear run at the Slovenian with Newcastle United also strongly linked. Bet365, though, have tipped United as the favourites to sign the 22-year-old at 2/7, ahead of the 5/2 Magpies.

The market looks at which club the player will be at the beginning of September when the transfer window shuts and a stay at Leipzig is a long 12/1.
