Benfica goal machine Darwin Nunez responds to transfer links as Aston Villa claims made
Benfica star Darwin Nunez has said he is paying no attention to speculation around his future.
The centre-forward has been linked with a move to Aston Villa and their Premier League rivals Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, West Ham United and Manchester United also credited with an interest in the Uruguayan. Nunez is expected to be one of the hottest properties of the summer transfer window with a fee of around £65million said to be enough to convince Benfica to part with the 22 year-old.
He was in England on Wednesday night for Benfica's Champions League quarter-final second leg clash with Liverpool, in which he scored a consolation late on as Nelson Verissimo's side went out 6-4 on aggregate. Nunez, who has scored 32 times this season, was quizzed after the game about the summer but insisted that he did not want to speak about a potential move.
