Ben Doak Celtic to Liverpool transfer fee 'revealed' as starlet edges closer to Parkhead exit
Celtic will bank a six-figure transfer fee when Ben Doak completes his move to Liverpool.
The teenager shot caught the eye earlier this year when he made his first-team debut against Dundee United aged just 16.
Doak also came off the bench against Rangers as Ange Postecoglou showed his faith in the prospect before announcing himself on the international stage this week with a sensational hat-trick for Scotland Under-17s.
However he hasn’t featured in the Celtic first-team squad since being an unused sub in the 4-0 win over Raith Rovers in February with the club seemingly resigned to his exit.
Jurgen Klopp's English Premier League title hopefuls are now ramping up their interest.
And Liverpool are now prepared to pay out the six-figure compensation fee to land young Doak, according to the Scottish Sun.
Doak's international coach Brian McLaughlin predicted he would be a success wherever he goes next after his Scotland heroics.
He said: "He just trains so well. I’d spoken to him about making more diagonal runs toward the goal because he can become a goalscorer as well as a winger.
“I can only see a big future for him."
