Bellewstown falls foul of the soggy conditions
Following an early morning inspection, the track at Bellewstown was found to be unfit for racing due to waterlogging, so forcing the cancellation of Saturday's card at the Co Meath venue.
After 12mm of rain overnight to add to the 12mm which fell on Friday and a forecast for another 7mm of rain throughout today, officials were left with no option but to cancel.
Racing in Ireland will resume on Sunday, with 1,000 and 2,000 Guineas trials at Leopardstown, and the Ulster National at Downpatrick.
