"Being unemployed is a lifestyle choice": Suella Braverman is mocked after being sacked as Home Secretary

Suella Braverman has been sacked as home secretary as part of a cabinet reshuffle - and critics have taken to social media this morning to react to the news.

Ms Braverman had come under fire after publishing an article in The Times newspaper without RM Rishi Sunak's approval in which she criticised what she called"pro-Palestinian mobs" and slammed the Met Police for a"double standard" over their handling of protests. It is the second time Ms Braverman has left the role, after she resigned - but was effectively sacked - in 2022 when she breached government security rules by sending an official document from her personal email to a backbench MP.

Journalist James Felton wrote on X: "annual traditions: valentines day, easter, Halloween, Home Secretary Suella Braverman is sacked by the new prime minister, christmas."

And former Tory MP Rory Stewart commented: A good
