Becky Lynch forced to miss Monday Night Raw after injury leaves her in hospital

The latest instalment of Monday Night Raw was without the women’s champion after she uploaded a shocking photo of herself lying in a hospital bed.

Becky Lynch posted a fitness update ahead of her scheduled appearance on the show, stating she would not be featuring on the red brand this week due to an injury she sustained at the WWE live event on Sunday night.

Big Time Becks retained the Raw Women’s Championship against Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley in Allentown, but was left needing medical attention.

Alongside a photo of her looking dejected in the hospital, Lynch wrote on her social media: “Unfortunately I will not be at #WWERaw tonight.

“Not only did Bianca whip me mercilessly with the illegal weapon that is her hair last week, but last night in the main event of #WWEAllentown she tried to take away my biggest weapon, the spoken word, by fracturing my voice box.”

The Man is set to face The EST of WWE at WrestleMania next month and in the build up to the blockbuster pay-per-view, things have been getting heated between the two stars.

Last week on Raw, Lynch used Belair’s hair to pull her around the ring and tie her to the ropes, which resulted in the ultimate retaliation from The EST.

Belair used her braid to attack Lynch, leaving her with multiple whip marks across the torso at the end of the match.

This is something the two discussed on social media afterwards, with Big Time Becks calling for the “illegal weapon” to be banned, while Belair simply reiterated her main rule: ‘don’t touch my hair and I won’t use it.’
