£36m Leeds star expected to leave 'wants to go out with a bang'

Raphinha wants to save Leeds United from relegation and go out with a bang, says journalist Dean Jones.

The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from Elland Road, and Jones reckons he wants to be the man to fire the Whites to safety before leaving the club in the summer.

Gianluigi Longari reported towards the end of last month that Chelsea were leading the race for Raphinha, though that may have changed after Roman Abramovich’s decision to sell the European champions.

Nevertheless, what makes Longari’s report interesting is the fact that it claims Raphinha has two release clauses: one worth €75m (£62m) and the other €25m (£20m), with the latter set to become active should Leeds get relegated.

However, Raphinha has been at the heart of Leeds’ success
