BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Vito Coppola declares love in personal post after causing fan 'distraction'

Vito Coppola has been seen declaring his love in a rare social media post after causing a 'distraction among fans. The Strictly Come Dancing star took to social media with a personal post after his latest stint in the ballroom.

As week five of the BBC One dance contest got underway on Saturday night (October 19), the competition's 12 remaining couples hoping to impress and avoid the next dreaded dance-off and make it safely through to this year's Halloween special.

Among them was Vito and his celebrity dance partner Sarah Hadland once again faced a bit of a struggle in the eyes of the judges as they wore a matching colourful pink and yellow outfits for their Samba to Do It Do It Again by Rafaella Carrà.

While Sarah was called a "force" by Motsi Mabuse and head judge Shirley Ballas hailed her as "an absolute charm to watc", some felt the actress and dance partner Vito weren't fairly rewarded for their efforts despite a very respectable 32 points out of a possible 40.

It didn't take fans long to jump to the couple's defence online, saying they have been 'undermarked'. But the viewer votes safely saw them through to week six of Strictly's 20th-anniversary series this Saturday (October 26) where they'll perform the first Argentine Tango of the 2024 series.

But amidst what's going on in the dance competition, Vito was thinking about life back in Italy and took to social media to wish his mum a happy birthday. He shared a video of the glamorous birthday girl celebrating as she was given a cake with sparklers at what seemed to be a party to mark the occasion.

Alongside the video, the Italian dancer wrote on his Instagram
