BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Oti Mabuse says she had to 'get over own anxiety' in honest post-baby update

Oti Mabuse has told how she had to 'get over' her own anxiety in order to go back to the gym after welcoming her first child into the world. The former Strictly Come Dancing star welcomed her first child into the world two months early back in October 2023.

Oti and her husband Marius Lepure had become first-time parents on Christmas Day. They took to Instagram with an adorable photo in which they wore matching festive pyjamas as they gazed lovingly at their baby girl alongside their beloved pet dog, Leo.

Oti later told how their daughter, whose name hasn't been shared publically, had actually been born prematurely, saying it was a "big shock" and as the new mum developed sepsis, it meant her daughter was at risk of being infected when she was born.

She shared a video of herself taken during her first gym session, which her baby girl was able to join her on. "Back in the gym after 7 months, and it’s never felt so good!" Oti typed alongside the video, in which she could be seen working up a sweat alongside her content daughter.

She continued: "I must admit I was so nervous, I spent all my time focusing on baby that I forgot about myself for a bit. Thank you @f45_training_ealing for the amazing Mommy and Me classes. Perfect for getting back in
