BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Oti Mabuse offers update amid social media silence after baby 'first'

Oti Mabuse shared a wholesome update in a break from her social media silence after revealing a 'first' with her baby girl. The former Strictly Come Dancing star announced she and her husband Marius Lepure had become first-time parents on Christmas Day.

She shared a sweet snap of the family of three for the first time, alongside beloved pet pooch Leo, but later revealed her baby girl had been born "prematurely" months earlier and was put in an incubator with jaundice. Oti also developed sepsis meaning her daughter - who was born two months early - was at risk of being infected when she was born.

Oti has since been sharing updates with her fans and followers on social media as she navigates her biggest role to date while also working having returned as a judge on Dancing on Ice earlier this year.

In one of her more recent posts on Instagram, the 33-year-old revealed she and Marius had taken their daughter, whose name hasn't been shared publically, on a plane for the first time as they headed to visit her family in South Africa.

"Baby’s first flight to South Africa Ready for takeoff with our little adventurer!" she started the caption of her post which featured a sweet selfie of the family-of-three. She added: "Let’s see how many snacks we can devour before we land! #FlyingWithBaby #AdventureBegins #southafrica."

Oti also shared a video to her Instagram Story in which she could be seen in her seat with her baby girl snuggled up to her. As she gave a thumbs up to the camera, the presenter said: "She once again smashed it,"
