BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Oti Mabuse addresses return and admits why she might not want daughter to do same thing

Oti Mabuse has addressed the possibility to Strictly Come Dancing while she also explained why she wouldn't necessarily want her daughter to follow in her footsteps.

The professional dancer was part of the BBC One dance contest from 2015 to 2022 and she was crowned the show's champion in back to back in 2019 and 2020 with her celebrity dance partners Kelvin Fletcher and Bill Bailey.

She then announced her departure from the hit dance show professional dancer in 2022 and sharing the news on Instagram at the time, she said: "Never easy to say goodbye. I have been part of the most amazing TV show, Strictly Come Dancing for the past seven years and it has been an incredible time.

"Lifting the glitterball twice and having the best journey with all my celebrities, but also meeting and working with the best team, crew, producers, celebs and incredible professional dancers! You are my family and I adore you all forever."

Oti has since gone on to become a judge on Dancing On Ice and more recently headed to the jungle to take part in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here. But she's always asked about a possible return to the Strictly ballroom.

Appearing on The Jonathan Ross Show this Saturday (February 15) on ITV, host Jonathan asks Oti if she misses being a professional dancer on Strictly to which she tells him: "It was a huge part of my life. I’m always grateful to Strictly but now I enjoy it as a fan and I choreograph on the show. I still dance, dance will always be a part of my life but now I’m watching Strictly with my baby girl and a glass of wine."
