BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Nick Knowles brands co-star 'queen of the dance' after live TV tears

Nick Knowles has paid a fresh tribute to dance partner Luba Mushtuk as she was seen getting emotional over their Strictly Come Dancing exit.

During the most recent live show on Saturday night (October 12), Nick and Luba performed the routine they had planned for Movie Week the weekend before, a Charleston to Rain On The Roof from the Paddington 2 soundtrack, which they had to miss due to injury.

But despite doing his best to bounce back from a knee injury, during Sunday night's (October 13) results show, Nick and Luba had to reprise their performance in the dreaded dance-off against singer and actor Shayne Ward and his dance partner Nancy Xu, who had to dance their Cha Cha to Ain’t No Love (Ain’t No Use) by Sub Sub feat. Melanie Williams.

The judges unanimously chose to save Shayne and Nancy, sending them through to week five of the competition and sending Nick and Luba home.

The DIY SOS star and professional dancer then appeared on Strictly spin-off It Takes Two on Monday (October 14) and Luba broke down in tears as the duo watched an emotional montage of their best moments on the show.

A tearful Luba, 34, emotionally said after the sweet video: "Yes", before composing herself. "Thank you, thank you for being you and for being an incredible student. I loved every single moment, we'll still dance again!"

Nick, 62, then later took to Instagram with a selife of the pair taken before their latest, and last, routine in the ballroom. Captioning the post, the TV presenter gushed over his dance partner and new friend's skill and dedication she has shown him in recent weeks.
