BBC Strictly Come Dancing's huge update on applying for tickets to live shows with strict rules
Strictly Come Dancing has shared a huge update on how fans can be live in the ballroom when the series begins in a matter of weeks.
Those who follow the BBC One dance show are eagerly awaiting its return for the 2025 run after the official celebrity line-up was confirmed last week.
The hit show first graced our screens back in 2004, and has been a staple in households across the UK ever since. Now, the new contestants are gearing up for their first spin around the dancefloor, after it was revealed the launch show will air on September 20.
And fans have got the chance to be in the BBC's iconic ballroom themselves as the series progresses until the big final, set to take place in December - but there are rules.
From today, Tuesday, August 19, fans can apply for tickets via the BBC's 'shows, tours, and take part' website, from which they will be put into a random draw.
The message explains: "As in previous years we are operating a random draw. You can apply for tickets at any time until 10pm on Tuesday 2 September. You can apply for a maximum of one pair of tickets per show.
"Only apply if you intend to be the named ticket holder. You can apply for as many dates as you wish but if you are successful in the random draw you will only receive tickets for one date.
"If successful please note that tickets are non-transferable. They cannot be transferred to another date or a person who is not named on the ticket.
"If you were successful in the random draw for tickets for one of the Professional Dancers Pre-Records or the pre-recorded Launch Show, you are still eligible to apply for the main series live shows."
