BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Giovanni Pernice gets awkward response as he asks fans question with co-star 'bestie'

Giovanni Pernice may have wanted to avert his eyes from some of the comments on his latest social media post after the Strictly Come Dancing star asked his fans and followers a question about himself and his co-star 'bestie'.

The BBC One dance contest's professional dancer Giovanni and judge Anton Du Beke recently returned to screens as they teamed up for their new TV series. Following their trip to Italy last year, their new show sees the duo head to Spain on an epic adventure across Anton's motherland with their trip ending in the very village where Anton's mother was born.

During the last episode of the three-part series, well as being joined by Strictly co-star Gorka Marquez, Anton's family - including his mum, his wife and his twins - also joined them in a poignant end to their latest adventure.

After revealing the end of the show, fans were quick to suggest where they should go to next. The response promoted a string of online articles with Giovanni sharing one with a headline which read: "Anton Du Beke and Giovanni Pernice fans beg them to do another travel series".

Sharing a screenshot of the start of the article, Giovanni then wrote to his fans and followers on Instagram: "Question time … very simple answer YES OR NOT! Would you like to see me and my bestie going somewhere else?"

But it seemingly left fans with other demands as they expanded on their yes and no answers, with one of those demands requesting actress Rose Ayling-Ellie, Giovanni's winning partner from the 2021 series, join them following her guest
