BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Dianne Buswell 'fights tears' as she makes discovery after parents leave UK after seven weeks
Dianne Buswell was left feeling emotional as she made a discovery days after her parents left the UK following their trip to see her. Mark and Rina were in the ballroom when the dancer won Strictly Come Dancing for the first time.
Dianne and her celebrity dance partner Chris McCausland had the goal of making it through to week 11 of the BBC One dance contest, the week after the annual Blackpool special, as that's when Dianne's parents would be in the UK from Australia to watch her perform on the show.
There were emotional scenes as Mark and Rina were able to watch her in action live in the ballroom for the first time since she joined the hit programme back in 2017 and they were later in the Strictly ballroom to see their daughter win the whole competition and life the Glitterball trophy.
Dianne was then able to spend the Christmas and new year period with her parents as well as her siblings, nieces and nephews as they all joined her and her boyfriend Joe Sugg in the UK for the festive season.
But last weekend, the Australian dancer was emotional but had a full heart as she said goodbye to her parents after spending seven weeks together.
Now, Dianne has shared an emotional post with fans after finding a note from her mum and gift from her dad days after they left to return home to Australia. The note from Rina to Dianne read: "Thank you for the most amazing 7 weeks. Your generosity and kindness does not go unnoticed. Love always, Mum."
Alongside the picture of the note, Dianne wrote to her own fans and followers alongside a face holding back tears emoji, red love heart and single tear face emoji: "Just found this letter from my mum [red heart emoji]," She also found a heart-shaped decoration from her dad.
