BBC Morning Live: First look at new Manchester studio

Ahead of its move to the north west, BBC This Morning Live has revealed photos of its new Manchester studio for the first time.

The show is relocating to its new home at ABC Buildings on Quay Street from Monday (February 21) where it will air live on BBC One every weekday morning from 9.15am.

Since its launch in October 2020, Morning Live has featured celebrity guests, expert advice, health updates and tips to save time and money.

Rav Wilding and Janette Manrara regularly take on hosting duties.

The shake-up was announced last year as part of the BBC’s Across the UK plans to ensure the BBC better serves and reflects communities throughout the country.

Kimberley Walsh, Sara Cox and Sam Quek have joined the line-up of presenters, alongside Kym Marsh and Gethin Jones.

The new cast will host the show daily, in alternating pairings.

Kym Marsh will continue to share co-hosting duties with Gethin Jones, while Rav Wilding will also remain a regular face welcoming a variety of guests onto the Morning Live sofa.

From 21 February, BBC One will become the only major TV channel to broadcast four hours of live TV every week day morning from the north west, with Morning Live following BBC Breakfast, which is filmed at Media City in Salford.

The BBC says the programme will 'continue to be a one stop shop for viewers looking for expert advice, health updates and take home tips to save time and money.'

Hockey star and Olympian Sam Quek said she is 'excited' to be fronting the show with four female presenters from the north west.

She added: "It’s like a northern powerhouse of women on TV every weekday morning! I’m from The Wirral and I’m so pleased that
