BBC Gladiators viewers point out ‘stars’ of the show during wall challenge

Fans of BBC’s Gladiators spotted a hilarious detail during Saturday’s episode of the show as contestants struggled with part of their outfits during the wall challenge. The reboot of the hit 90s show was back on our TV screens on Saturday night.

The show sees contestants battle it out against the mighty gladiators through a series of tough challenges. The rebooted series is presented by Bradley Walsh and his son Barney.

Among the challenges the contestants have to face is The Wall. Two contestants must scale the wall at the same time, with the gladiators swiftly following them.

During Saturday’s episode Kerry and Marie-Louise both took to the wall, while gladiators Diamond and Dynamite chased them respectively. As they scaled the wall, Diamond managed to grab Kerry’s shoe, while Dynamite tugged at Marie-Louise’s laces.

Fans were quick to spot the detail and joked about it on X, the site formerly known as Twitter. @Days_Are_Gone said: “They should all do the Wall in laced-up knee-high boots.” @NebulaB wrote: “WE HAVE A LOST SHOE!”

@jonnymuzzer said: “The shoes are clearly the stars of the series.” @AwesomeBlossomz added: “They need to give them different shoes to wear when climbing the wall.” @TheDominicLane said: “Where do they get these shoes?!”
