BBC EastEnders' fan favourite set for 'sad exit' next week leaving Billy and Phil at odds

EastEnders is set to feature some sad scenes next week as a beloved character plans his departure from Albert Square. Earlier this year, the popular BBC One soap revealed that Billy Mitchell's life would take an unexpected turn when he learns about his father, Stevie Mitchell's secret family.

BBC bosses hinted: "Stevie's son Teddy Mitchell will arrive in Walford later this June alongside his sons Harry and Barney in search of his dad, but he soon gets more than he bargained for when he comes face to face with Billy, Phil and the rest of the Mitchell clan."

The drama escalates as Stevie admits that Teddy is Billy's half-brother, revealing a whole new branch of the Mitchell family tree that neither Billy nor Phil were aware of. Last week, viewers met the new members of the Mitchell family, but it seems there are still secrets to be uncovered as Teddy confronts Stevie about his dishonesty, cautioning him that the truth will eventually surface.

In the episodes airing next week, Billy organises a surprise party for Stevie at The Vic, telling his son Will that Stevie and his long-lost mother, Val, share the same birthday, but he doesn't know where his estranged mother currently resides. In a parallel scene at the cafe, Teddy meets with Stevie, hands him a card, and urges him to stop lying.

Phil, growing suspicious of the secretive conversation, enlists Ritchie to investigate. Meanwhile, at The Vic, Stevie is touched by the efforts Billy and Will have made, reports the Mirror.
