In a surprising turn, his best mate Freddie Slater shares a kiss with Anna Knight just as Bobby walks in on them. Chaos unfolds in Albert Square as Anna, portrayed by Molly Rainford, plans to terminate her pregnancy without consulting boyfriend Bobby.

As Freddie stumbles upon the clinic's details on Anna's laptop, he decides to stay silent about it. Anna later pleads with him to keep her abortion a secret from Bobby, who remains oblivious to the turmoil.

Anna resolves to proceed with the abortion, rejecting Bobby's invitation out. It's in the aftermath that she and Freddie share a kiss at The Vic, unbeknownst to Bobby who witnesses it all.

Clay Milner Russell reveals Bobby's reaction: "Bobby is really shocked and deeply hurt. He feels stupid for not seeing this coming and assumes the worst and that Freddie and Anna have been carrying on behind his back for months. So, he's really angry with them and feels stupid and embarrassed that this has happened to him again.", reports the Daily Star.

He adds, regarding the backstory between the characters, "Obviously, Freddie and Anna had a fling before, but I don't think Bobby is suspicious that it might happen again. He's very trusting and wants the three of them to spend lots of time together in this little friendship group."

"Maybe because of that, he hasn't seen what's going on and he doesn't believe that Freddie would do something like that again. If anything, what's going on in Bobby's mind is that he doesn't deserve to be with someone like Anna. ".
