Bayo signing pitch, Tierney's skyrocketing value and 'complex' £5m payday addressed – Celtic transfer bulletin

Mohamed Bayo has been urged to pick Celtic with the reports suggesting that the striker is on the Parkhead shopping list.

The Scottish Premiership leaders are facing rising speculation over the future of Kyogo Furuhashi with Stade Rennes showing interest in the 29-year-old - and reports in France suggest that the Lille frontman is being lined up for a move to Glasgow's east end. Guinea international Bayo spent last season on loan at Le Havre and his impressive form earned him a second chance at his parent club - but he has struggled to make an impact this term netting just twice.

And former Guinea international Souleymane Youla - who also played for Lille - told Bayo that a move Celtic would be the perfect career step. Speaking to Africa Foot the ex-striker said:If he has to leave Lille, Scotland would be the best destination for Bayo, because Celtic play in the Champions League in the same way as LOSC.

“And above all, it is one of the best clubs in the country. It's present every year in Champions League and the Scottish league is not so bad.”

Kieran Tierney is also inching closer to a return to Celtic Park with his Arsenal contract ticking down. The 27-year-old looks set to rubber-stamp a pre-contract agreement with his boyhood club to secure an exit from the Emirates after the Premier League heavyweights have opted against triggering a 12-month extension clause.

And former Rangers captain Barry Ferguson reckons that the Hoops could have a £50m player on their hands - should he stay fit. He told the Go Radio Football Show: “If they get Kieran Tierney and he can stay injury clear he is a top class player. I’m still baffled why he doesn’t play at Arsenal.

"There is obviously an issue there between him and Arteta.
