Bayley return: WWE Superstar makes possible hint on current status
SmackDown’s longest-ever reigning Women’s Champion Bayley has once again hinted that she could be about to make her long awaited return to WWE.
Bayley has been out of action since suffering a torn ACL while preparing for her match with Bianca Belair at Money in the Bank in 2021. The injury was expected to side-line her for around nine months, and with that timeframe now surpassed, the Role Model should be raring to go once again.
While we’re yet to see her back in WWE, the 32-year-old has once again taken to her social media account with another cryptic message to tease fans. Getting fans into a frenzy by posting an image of her wrestling boots ready and laced up to both her Twitter and Instagram account.

The grand slam champion hasn’t appeared on WWE TV since 2 July 2021 episode of SmackDown, challenging Bianca Belair to an I Quit match. At that point the pair were embroiled in a high-profile rivalry that had already seen Belair beat Bayley in a Hell in a Cell match in June that year.
With Sasha Banks and Naomi still in a stand-off with WWE following their walkout last month, the SmackDown women’s roster is light on names and star power. So, any return for Bayley would be a major boost to the female side of the blue brand – and offer a viable contender to Ronda Rousey.
It’s not the first time Bayley has tease fans about a possible return from injury. Earlier this year she sent social media posts highlighting her free agent status and that she’d like to wrestle Candice LaRae. However, it remains to be seen when we’re finally see The Role Model back on our WWE screens once again.
