Bayern's Sadio Mane stays true to his beliefs by not holding beer
Sadio Mane is living his best life at Bayern Munich.
You only had to look at the Senegal star climbing into the stands to celebrate scoring and winning on his Bundesliga debut with the fans to see that he was made to play for the Bavarian giants.
Mane clearly has a taste for clubs with passionate supporters based in cities that live and breathe sport because the 30-year-old looks just as at home in Munich as he did with Liverpool.
And that’s been reflected in his performances on the pitch as the former Reds winger boasts four goals from his first five outings with the German champions.
Having opened his account with a debut goal in the DFL-Supercup, Mane has effortlessly adapted to the Bundesliga by finding the net three times in his first four matches in the competition.
And that’s no mean feat when you consider that Mane has also had the misfortune of watching no less than five(!!!) goals of his chalked off by the scourge of VAR.
Marry that to the fact that Julian Nagelsmann’s men are sat joint-top in the Bundesliga table and are even the most fancied side in the Champions League this season and you really get the feeling that it’s hitherto sunshine and rainbows for Mane in Bavaria.
Plus, it is – of course – fast approaching a world famous time of celebration for the German state as Oktoberfest takes place between September 17 and October 3 this year.
The beer-chugging, bench-dancing festival attracts visitors from around the world and Bayern are always sure to get amongst the festivities by whipping on the lederhosens themselves.
